Melbourne's home of fine diamond rings
For almost a century, Paul Bram has been designing and crafting diamond rings from our showroom on Swanston Street in Melbourne’s CBD. From the perfect solitaire engagement ring to rare Argyle pink diamonds, every piece begins with a natural, independently certified diamond and the guidance of a jeweller who understands the 4Cs inside out.
Whether you already know the shape you love or you’re just beginning to explore, this is your starting point. Browse diamond rings by cut and style below, discover our team’s current top picks, and when you’re ready, book a private consultation to see stones in person or design something entirely your own.
How to choose a diamond ring: the 4Cs
Every natural diamond is graded on four characteristics - the 4Cs. Understanding them helps you balance beauty and budget with confidence. Our jewellers walk you through all four in person, but here is the short version.
Light & life
The most important C. Cut controls how a diamond handles light - a well-cut stone returns maximum brilliance and fire. Prioritise cut quality over sheer size.
D to Z scale
Graded from D (colourless) to Z. Near-colourless stones in the G-H range look white to the eye and offer excellent value in most settings.
Natural character
Measures tiny natural inclusions. Many are invisible without magnification, so an eye-clean diamond often makes more sense than paying for flawless.
Weight, not size
Carat is weight, not size. Shape, cut and setting all affect how large a diamond looks, so a well-proportioned stone can wear bigger than its carat suggests.

Diamond ring styles & settings
Once you have chosen a shape, the setting brings it to life. Here is how our most-loved styles compare.
Solitaire & pavé
A solitaire keeps all eyes on a single diamond and never dates - the classic diamond engagement ring. Want more sparkle? A pavé band lines the shank with tiny diamonds, or a hidden halo adds brilliance from certain angles.
Meaningful settings
A three-stone trilogy ring marks your past, present and future - ideal for engagements and anniversaries. For clean, modern lines, baguette diamonds give a tailored, architectural look.
Choose your shape
Elongated oval, marquise and pear cuts flatter the finger, while emerald and asscher step cuts prize clarity. The romantic cushion cut softens everything with rounded corners.
Grow your look
Slim stackable bands and anniversary rings layer effortlessly, and rare Argyle pink diamond rings are Australia's most collectible. Unsure on the stone? Read our natural vs lab-grown guide.
